But, um, please don't break into our house while we're gone...
The car rental place screwed up our booking (they tried to get us to take a Jeep Compass instead of the compact car we reserved...yeah, I'm not interested in paying for the gas for that, thanks!), so this is what we ended up with:
A Prius! Toronto to Sudbury to Ottawa on less than $30 of gass (plus, you know, the full tank it came with, but who's counting...) Woohoo!
Actually, on highways, I'm not sure it's any more economical than our Echo. It is, however, a damn sight more economical than the Jeep Compass "mid-size" behemoth:
