Today was a good day.

Well, not the part where I got home from work (at 9 p.m.) and discovered our appliances hadn't been delivered and we don't know why. At least I know why they didn't call me this morning to say what time they would be delivering stuff.

I think it's because of the dishwasher; have I mentioned this yet? Last week, my neighbour - who happens to be the president of our strata council - asked about the renovations, and I told him everything, including about our new appliances. Yeah. Turns out? We can't have dishwashers in this building. (Something to do with old water mains and not enough pressure or drain space.) Would have been nice if they'd told us that in JANUARY, when we went to the council and told them about our plans and they approved them...ANYWAYS. We had to cancel the dishwasher, and I got a call yesterday from the appliance store reminding us about our deliver today, and listing all three appliances. I called back and explained about the cancelled dishwasher, and the woman I spoke to assured me that there would be no dishwasher delivered to our place today.

Well, I guess she was right.

*Sigh*

It's too late for me to call now, obviously, and I'm in court tomorrow, so Alex is going to try and straighten it out.

BUT, aside from that, it was a good day - even with more than 12 hours at work. I spoke in court! I questioned a couple of witnesses! I spoke to a sentencing! It's actually getting easier to say shit in court. Well, not "shit" - I'd probably burst into tears if that happened. :P

Then I finished a research project that's been hanging over my head. Which is always a great feeling. :)

Anyway, I have more pictures, which I will upload soon. There are doors on our cabinets! It almost looks like a real kitchen!

I love it when a plan comes together.

I have to actually argue for the first time on Tuesday. Taking bets for the passing out of Laura?

Ugh, sorry about the appliances. That sucks. I hope it has been straightened out by now? More photos? Only a couple more days until we leave....though I suspect we'll have constant access to the internet even in the Turks, so I should be able to check from there!!!!!
