We had a fire alarm yesterday (apparently burnt toast in the Crown's offices)(and no, I don't mean someone had an epileptic seizure), so the judges took me out for lunch.

The two things are only chronologically related; the fire alarm was at 12:15 p.m., and we were all standing in the parking lot together when the judges decided to take their lunch break. And I guess they felt sorry for me standing there by myself, because they invited me to come along.

The unfortunate thing, is that I had just finished eating my lunch. However, I've been harassed to hell and back about the one time I did say no to a lunch invitation from a judge (and went home SICK, I'd like to point out, but whatever...), so I went along. And had a salad, because it's like J-E-L-L-O.

Anyway, the point of my story is: the conversation turned to cars, and one of my judges is considering buying a car that apparently costs only $7,000 less than my condo did.

I cannot WAIT to start making the real money!

Heh heh. I have made several references to this particular Canadian Heritage Minute here and everyone looks at me like I'm crazy. It's nice to know that someone else has it burned into her brain like I do...

I don't remember that particular Heritage Minute, but the basketball one is taking up room in my brain which could be otherwise used for something useful.
