*Sigh*
I've been at a criminal jury trial all week, and it's been super interesting (and therefore theoretically worth the additional work), but holy christ in a christ hole am I tired.
Oh, also? I have to go into work tomorrow. And probably Sunday as well.
The most tragic part of the Sunday working thing is that I might have to miss the Great Sudbury Earth Day Festival, or whatever they're calling it. This is a city in which we didn't even have *paper* recycling at work when I started there. At, you know, a massive government office? This is also the city where they freak out if I suggest that I don't want a plastic shopping bag, that I'm okay to put my purchases in my backpack. Yeah. You go right ahead and celebrate Earth Day, while I sit over here in the corner enjoying the irony.
Any way, while I did not actually take any pictures in Victoria, here are some pictures of the...residue from Victoria, shall we say.
I got new hardware for my eyebrow:

(Hint: it used to be a ring. And then it was a horseshoe. Now it's a bar!)
I got a new hole and new hardware for my nose:

Okay, it's kinda hard to see, I know.
Wait! Let me show you ANOTHER picture, in which it's even HARDER to see my nose ring:

I realise that's a side view; I hope I've left out any potential image of my ear, since my mother finds them so disturbing.
It's a small silver ball, people, it just doesn't show up in pictures well, I guess. Sorry.
In this picture, by the way, you can see that I've attempted to create a Barbra Streisand/soft light effect. And by this, I mean my hand was shaking. On the other hand, at least everything doesn't look completely yellow!
I bought some other stuff in Victoria.
Like these:

And these:

Guess which ones are for work?
Also, although *I* didn't take any pictures while I was on vacation, my sister sure did. And gosh does she have a knack for taking unflattering pictures of me:

I probably did something to deserve that.
In response, today I got my hair cut:

Do you like my nice work shirt? I bought it in Victoria. :)
Then I changed my shirt and took another picture, because it occurred to me that it might be important to see the top of my head. So, you know, you can truly appreciate the haircut:

Hm. I might need to get a tripod.
5 Comments:
Maybe use the timer delay on the camera and take a step back?

You could totally wear the Converse to work so long as the rest of you were dressed up in a suit. You would be the coolest lawyer in town... (Not that you aren't already!)

Those shoes are purdy! And I like the new hardware, especially how you balanced your face by not putting the nose ring on the same side as the eyebrow ring. I don't think I've ever seen a nose ring on the left of the nose before

Vinny, when I use the timer delay, you get shots of half my face. I am not gifted in this area.
Tasha, it's on the right side of my nose? Although I guess it's on the left if you're looking at me...and yes, balance was a concern. :P
Jessica, it's not really much of a contest, I'll be honest.
Omigod hermie. On that second to last photo? You look SOOOOOO just like Maggie Gyllenhall to me. Rawr you hottie! :-D
