Also, I had the great luck and joy to be stuck with a bike with a broken seat. Every time I shifted my weight on the seat, it tilted back. Which meant that the part at the front of the seat? Tilted up.
Holy. God. You cannot imagine the discomfort.
Unless you've experienced this yourself? In which case, I am sorry. I basically tried to spend as much time as possible standing, and spent the rest of the time twisting and turning and trying to adjust my seat. I'm sure everyone in the class thought I had some kind of uncomfortable STD or something. Charming, I'm sure.
I passed an accident at an intersection earlier today that I literally could not figure out. I can't figure out what Car A could possibly have been doing that would lead it to hit Car B at that angle, other than being a complete asshole and leaving the road:

Enjoy my MS Paint skillz.
Note that Car A ran head-first into the left hand side of Car B, which appeared to have been in the right-hand turn lane, but clearly had not pulled out into traffic in such a way that it could possibly have impeded Car A.
(Also, there didn't appear to be any injuries, which is why I was fixated on logistics and not, like, helping people...)
So odd.

Hmmm... Maybe the steering wheel in car A dislocated itself from the rest of the car, causing the car not to turn the way it should have. And then maybe the brakes were also a little slow. And then maybe the person in car B was a total jackass after all of that.
My point - car A may be a relative of Spanky. That is the only other possible scenario I see, aside from the one offered by you.
Jess, I thought of the Spanky (may he rest in peace) scenario. The only thing is, Car A was, like, *maybe* 5 years old, whereas Spanky (may he rest in peace) was, like, 30. So the whole steering-wheel-coming-off, soft-brakes scenario made a lot more sence.
