I just finished watching the most recent version of Pride and Prejudice. Despite what certain crack-smokers would have you believe, I am deeply saddened to report that the movie sucked ass. I realise I'm going up against the vast IMDB readership with this bold statement, but I'm comfortable taking them on. Them and their little dog, too.

There is an entire posse here who agrees with you on the new P&P thing. First of all, you cannot do the movie in less than 6 hours and have it stay true to the book. Second, NOBODY can replace le Firth as Darcy. It's just unnatural. Long live the BBC version!
