The heat wave has broken!

Apparently when they re-filled the whole heating system this weekend, they locked everyone's brand new valves on "open", so there would be no air bubbles in the system. Which is why our thermostat wouldn't work. I don't know why they couldn't just WARN us of this, fercrissakes!

I don't know what's up with this heating company. There are 33 condo units in our building, and all of us were told to move our furniture away from the walls so they could access our heating registers. They started last Monday, so Alex and I dutifully moved all our furniture on Sunday night, and have been living with our furniture in the middle of the room for a week now. When I called today to find out where they were at, it turns out they're starting on the fourth floor, which means they've done us - we live on the third floor. So we could have moved our furniture back days ago. Couldn't they let us know? I'm not talking about a personal phone call; would it kill them to tape a business card to our door or something equally quick and easy to signify that they're done with our condo???

In other news, I've been playing The Sims on PS2 all weekend. Life is good. :)

The Sims... that game doesn't sound like it would be fun. Is it?

Well, *I* like it, or I wouldn't be playing it. Alex is playing it right now, you can ask him for his take on it. You get to play around with making people do things and changing houses around and stuff. Didn't Tasha play it on the computer? If she didn't, she should try it - I think she'd like it.
