Well, it appears that the formal exam portion of this semester's entertainment is over.
I'd be more relieved if I felt that my performance this morning on my international law exam had better reflected the fact that I did, indeed, understand the material. Oops.
In other news, kids, a public service announcement: according to my neighbour here in the computer lab, basketball is really dope right now.
I think they might be letting them into law school a little too young these days...
Alex and I are performing this Saturday with the impromaniacs, for a company's Christmas party.
Some of you may remember our little stint with a certain Big Food Company (tm) team-building exercise a few years back; I fear the first half of this performance may be reminiscent of that experience.
Without the begging for change.
For some reason the performance directors - let me tell you, the experience of improvising with the impromaniacs is a tad more, shall we say, structured than I'm used to - felt that I was the most appropriate person to play the maitre d' role.
You know, where I get to chat and make small talk to all the people there, and get information for the second part, which is a regular show and will at least allow me to stretch some real improv muscles...
I am constantly amazed at my apparent ability to trick people into believing I am not, in fact, socially retarded. Would you pick me to be the small talk person? I mean, really, would you? If you knew me? So very strange...
In the meantime, I plan on working very hard on my last assignment of the semester, a paper due on the 17th.
And by 'working very hard' I mean, of course, procrastinating until the last possible second.
I wonder if Alex wants to play a little B@ldur's G@ate tonight...
