We have internet from home!!!

Which, amusingly enough, doesn't help Alex all that terribly much, since I take the laptop to school with me every day, and the various components of his computer haven't all arrived yet. So the only real benefit for him, for now, is that he doesn't have to take the bus to school and meet me if he wants a few minutes to check his email...he just has to wait for me to bring the computer home!

Still can't access the wireless network at school though...my problem has been upgraded from 'see the faculty IT person' to 'see the school's IT people', so I know it's getting REALLY serious...

Speaking of school, after two weeks of classes I can safely say that, despite my best efforts, I just can't get away from the theoretical courses. Even though part of the reason I decided to go to law school was that it would give me practical work options, I still can't seem to pick the practical classes...okay, I kind of knew that "law, constitutionalism and culture" wouldn't be so practice-oriented, but c'mon, health law? social welfare law? who'da thunk there would be so much theory, so little case law...

I took Alex on a frosh pub crawl on Wednesday. His impression of law students? "They sure like to dance." Ah, yes. Why I feel so at home here...

In the parlance of our times, your network card is "teh suck".

I'm gonna try to mail your boxes out this weekend. Wish me luck.
