these are not my walls

Home again, home again, jiggety jig!

Well, actually, not quite yet - but in Vancouver, which is close enough for my purposes. And back in Victoria tonight, WITH clean sheets, no less!

Yes, after a week of rather frenzied packing/delivering boxes to the post office/trying to finish research (uh, guess which one of us was doing what???), Alex and I are now both resident on the left coast. Our oldest niece, Kea, was very excited to see Uncle Alex again, because he's one of her few relatives who can play happily with her for hours.

Yeah, she's 4.

This morning we're going to see a few friends for breakfast - and by "friends", I mean 2 friends and one person I haven't seen in 8 years, which I'm sure won't be awkward at all. Uh uh.

Then we're going to haul our 3 highly overweight suitcases (84 kg, according to the airline...), bass, 3 pieces of carry-on, and my computer onto the ferry to Victoria. I'm thinking we'll go with the pacific coach bus, rather than trying to haul them through 2 bus changes on public transit. It's a special occasion day!

Off to get cinnamon buns...
