The problem with updating this blog regularly is that I'm currently living at my sister's house, and there are three adults who want to use the computer in the evenings. So, not a lot of time there, and the alternative is work. Not that I'm opposed to taking a few minutes out of my working day, mind you, but I find that I've been out of the office lately. So, I'm sure that if I was back in my own place with uncontested access, I'd be updating more regularly.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
I was at the Vancouver Folk Festival this weekend. Fantastic. Except for the part about getting sunburnt and sunstroked. Damn it was hot.
I biked to the festival from Rachel's house on Sunday. Took me an hour, after getting lost twice. Eventually I just gave up trying to follow the route I planned and just followed cyclists in front of me who were headed in the right general direction. I'm terrified of biking in the city, you see, and I thought these more experienced-looking cyclists would know where they were going. And it worked, too - for the last 20 minutes of my ride I followed a lovely couple who led me right into the free bike parking lot at the festival grounds.
Take that, scoffers and disbelievers!
