So, that was a pretty long week of no posting, eh? Heh.
I've been busy with work since I came back to Dodge (no surprise there) AND I've been busy with PLANNING MY FINAL DEPARTURE!!
(Uh, from this town, not from life. In case there's any confusion.)
This didn't stop me from going on a 12-hour bender with other articling students last weekend though. Heh. We did NOT get kicked out of the bar, despite some jackass' best attempt to start a fight on the dance floor. Dude almost knocked me to the ground - an impressive feat, really, because I am *not* small - but I took the high road. If by "high road" you understand that I got in his face and yelled and he backed off.
Yeah, I'm badass.
I managed to forget all of my work shoes here when I went to Thunder Bay, so spent a Sunday afternoon scouring the town, and picked up these lovelies:

and these:

for under $50. I now own an impressive array of high-heeled shoes for someone who prefers to be barefoot. Why did I go into a profession that requires suits and heels again?

How awesome is this picture I took last night?

I love how my shaky mcshakerton hands come off as a bit "artsy" there.
I was trying to get a clearer picture of the sky - it was gorgeous - but my camera couldn't handle it. It might be time to move up from the cheap-ass London Drugs special.
I woke up this morning with every intention of finishing up a few chores and heading out of Dodge - I even have plans to meet up with friends in Toronto this afternoon. Unfortunately, I appear to have NO WATER this morning. How charming of my landlord to give me no advance warning that the water was going to be turned off this morning.
Seven more weeks. Seven more weeks. Seven more weeks.
Sigh.

Granted, I am as erratic as your average blogger.
This time, though, I *swear* it wasn't my fault. I got sent on a trip for work, and for reasons that I think should be obvious, I don't blog from my work computer.
I also don't facebook from it anymore, since it was BLOCKED by my EVIL, EVIL employer! Actually, I was not at all surprised that it was blocked, but apparently the media was, because they sure are talking about it a lot.
After work, I went on a whirlwind tour of southern Ontario:

That's Niagara frickin' Falls, people!

Uh, that is also the Falls, only this time with More! Rainbowy! Goodness!
Also, because I'm a good girl and follow instructions:

I did not plunge to my death. Thank god for the warning, though!
I also got to go to a couple of wineries and taste awesomely delicious wine. And then spit it out, because I was driving and I only have a graduated license, which has a zero tolerance for alcohol. Yeah, nothing like spitting in a fancy wine shop to show you I'm super cool.
I also bought delicious tea. And delicious fudge. Packer.
Then I came home and got sick. Very, very sick. Calling-in-to-work-sick sick. Blech.
I'm 80% better now, though, which is good. Since I'm going *back* to Toronto on Saturday, seeing people, and then going to Thunder Bay for a week. I know you envy my jet-set life. :)
So I'm afraid it's likely I will not post again for a bit. Let me leave you with one last, delicious, intoxicating thought:
