Why is it so cooooooooooooold out there??? Make it stooooooooooooooooooop!

(It's 6 degrees outside. That would be above zero. How am I going to survive a winter in Sudbury when I've apparently lost all ability to withstand cold???)

Library books have been returned. Whopping huge fine has been paid. New chair has been purchased - I gave it to Alex for his birthday. You did all remember his birthday, riiiiiiiiiiiight?

Today we had our first oral practise. Snigger. It went reasonably well. I especially enjoyed how my submissions, which I experienced as "I have no idea what the fuck I'm talking about or how to answer that question so I'll just keep babbling", came across as uber-smooth. Seriously, I got compliments. Maybe people just had low expectations? :)

Now we get to revise and re-do. On Friday. And about 15 more times before Toronto. Yeah, I don't think we'll get sick of it or anything...

I got a part-time research job at the library and, while I have not yet done a lick of work on this job, I believe I can confidently say that it is the best job ever, for the following three reasons:

1) This is how the interview went:

Me: Hi, I'm Clare, I believe I have an appointment for 3?
Him: Hi, Clare. Well, just to let you know, we're offering you the job.

2) This morning I got an email telling me I could come in and pick up the paperwork, and letting me know that, due to union regulations that they just discovered apply to this job, they'll be giving me a $2.50/hour raise over what they told me they would pay me.

3) Approximately 99% of this research will be online, which means I can do it at home. Away from annoying people and fluorescent lights. In my underwear. :)

I think we can all agree that this is, indeed, and awesome job.

Our factums are done, baby! Done like dinner!

The factums are the written argument part of our moot - in March we go to Toronto to do the oral part. Hee, I said oral. Anyway, I've been practically living at school the past couple of weeks, working on these damn factums, and they are finally DONE and PRINTED and BOUND and COURIERED OFF!! I slept for about 15 of the last 24 hours, which was fantastic and much needed!

So, this morning I wake up thinking that I finally have time to do the things that I've been not doing - like, say, classwork. And housework. And writing people. And yet I feel at a complete loss - if I'm not working on my factum, WHAT DO I DO??? Hmm, apparently it means I write in all caps a lot.

We need a new chair. And I need to return overdue library books. Perhaps I'll start there. :)
